Catia Flat Pattern

Catia Flat Pattern

Catia Flat Pattern

(OP)
Hello

I have a question related to sheetmetal flat pattern, design/production.  I have generated a surface in generative sheet metal. The flanges in this part is not at 90 degrees to the surface but the angle keeps changing from 90 to 102.I then gave thickness to this part in part desgin module. I need to give flat pattern layout dwg to shop floor. SO i need to open these flanges. I opened sheet metal module and tried hitting walls recognition option as told in tutorials but the option never poped up. So pls guide me how can i import a model from part design to sheet metal so that it recognizes the part and the walls to be unfolded so that i can do a flat pattern dwg
Thank you

RE: Catia Flat Pattern

Sheetmetal Design cannot make a flange like that.

Aerospace Sheetmetal can, but you cannot migrate a PartDesign part to Aerospace Sheetmetal.  It is also a VERY expensive license (P3)

Developable Surfaces can flatten a ruled surface, but I don't think that your surface is really ruled.  It also requires a DL1 License.

There are currently no other flat pattern tools available in V5.
