Embedment depth for cantilevered pole structure

(OP)
Are there any procedures or charts for determining the required embedment depth for a pole structure with lateral loads?

I need to design a wood utility pole to support a dish antenna 18' above grade in a high wind zone.

Try 2003 IBC section 1805.7.

Go to my website, link below, and download "Pole Building Design - Patterson". It is located in the Miscellaneous section on the home page.

Enercalc has a "Pole embedment in soil" calculation sheet.  You can download a demo for free.  You can't use it for work unless you buy it but it might serve as a sanity check.
