FEMA 273-274, ?up to date?

hi,

i got the
FEMA 273
FEMA 274 commentary,

i would like to know if there is a more up to date code for seismic design in the US (expecially for seismic isolated structures)

can anybody give me a list of the codes and guidelines adopted in the US for seismic design or more in detail for seismic isolation?

thanks

RE: FEMA 273-274, ?up to date?

You should be using FEMA 356 and 357 as these reference will replace 273 and 274.

As for seismic isolation there are a few reference out there but not many.  Here are a few:

Seismic Isolation for Earthquake Resistant Structures (Advances in Earthquake Engineering)
by P. Komodromos

Design of Seismic Isolated Structures : From Theory to Practice
by Farzad Naeim, James M. Kelly

The Seismic Design Handbook
by Farzad Naeim (Editor)

Also, there was a recent monograph published by EERI.  Check our www.eeri.org.

RE: FEMA 273-274, ?up to date?

go to www.fema.gov and look for the publications or do a search at that website.

I think that will be acceptable if thats what you want.
