Interaction between 70/30 Cu-Ni and 316L?

Interaction between 70/30 Cu-Ni and 316L?

Interaction between 70/30 Cu-Ni and 316L?

(OP)
I'm sure this will be a "no-brainer" to all you clever people out there, but I'm not up on my electropotentials and galvanic cells etc., so here goes:

Would using a combination of 70/30 Cu-Ni and 316L piping on a hydraulic power unit (water-glycol media) in a below decks marine environment cause any appreciable galvanic corrosion?

RE: Interaction between 70/30 Cu-Ni and 316L?

I think you'd be OK if the glygol has a decent corrosion inhibitor in it.  There isn't much difference between the potential of the two metals.  In something like salt water you might have a problem, but probably not in your case.
