The September 2005, issue includes an in depth self-study article on "Design of Reinforced Concrete Floor Systems". Answer & mail in the 10 question multiple choice quiz. 1. There are plenty of engineers (including me) who do not design "reinforced concrete floor systems" on a day to day basis.
2. The details of how to do design anything are "tweaked" from time to time. I don't know if that is the case here, but this tutorial is based on the latest revision of ACI-318, the 2005 version.
