Win XP - file protection

Win XP - file protection

Win XP - file protection

(OP)
Hi,

I am having a problem with Windows XP and file rights.

After installation of pro/I 3.3 & Pro/e 2001, only a network admin. can log in to Intralink.  Other users get:

"The workspace file C:\Workspace\proi.\Localddb cannot be opened.  The specified file may not exist or this may be caused by operating system file protection violations"

A network admin can log in and access the workspaces no problem, so it must be to do with file rights.  All installations done under a network admin login.  I have the PDM_LDB_PATH variable set so that shouldn't be the problem.

Any help appreciated, If I were to wait on my IT dept. for an answer it would be at least 2 weeks :-(

I will answer my own question!
After a bit of tinkering I found that any users using a shared machine need to have local admin. rights for that PC

XP security gone mad!
