HVAC Air Balancing

HVAC Air Balancing

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I have just had a contractor ask me for a procedure/checklist in order to balance the air system in a commercial building.

Does anyone know of any websites that deal directly with air balancing?

I appreciate any assistance, thanks.

RE: HVAC Air Balancing

The UK CIBSE Institution and the HVCA Heating, Ventilation and Contractors Association in the UK have commissioning codes which cover water, steam, air etc. They are comprehensive and can be purchesd at a reasonable cost. All you need to do however is state the Standard or code that you require and ask them to comply with it.

RE: HVAC Air Balancing

NEBB, AABC and TABB have procedures.

Have the contractor sub the work out from an outfit of either if that is what the specifications require.
