APC and RTO company

(OP)
I¡¦m looking for a reliable Advanced Process Control (APC) and Real-Time Optimization (RTO) company who has more up-to-date technology and experience. From September 2001 ¡§Hydrocarbon Processing¡¨ magazine, there are many companies in the list   Looks like Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions, Aspen Technology are more focus on refinery area. Pavilion Technologies and Dynamic Optimization Technology (DOT) Products have more experience in Petrochemical industries.  Can you provide any suggestion or recommendation?

Go to the website : www.namvaran.com or contact directly with Mr. Zamani by E-mail: namvaran1@dpi.net.ir
Some times those people have good knowledge and they may help.

RE: APC and RTO company

What is truly important about chosing an APC vendor is the how experienced/competent are the implementors/testers.  Advanced Control is only as good as the people who put it in.  A huge amount of upfront work/analysis is needed in the "pre-test" phase to determine the feasibility/effectiveness of current and proposed control loops. In my opinion it is more crucial to have your advanced control implementor to be very strong in classic linear control than in APC.  The majority of their work is fixing existing control loops before APC even gets started. AspenTech appears to have the edge in this department.
