Copressor will affect equilibrium

Copressor will affect equilibrium

(OP)
Nitrogen from coldbox of an air separation unit is currently vented to the atmosphere with 0.3 barg pressure through a silencer. I want to send the nitrogen to another place so I need to increase pressure to about 8 bars. Adding a compressor to nitrogen pipe will affect the equilibrium of coldbox. I want to find a solution for this problem, the flow is about 18000 nm3/h so a buffer vessel won’t be economical. My idea is to use a flow control valve with an actuator and a flow meter and a PID controller to put such a large pressure drop to overcome with the vacuum of compressor in order to make a choke situation to prevent upcoming of data from down stream to up stream. Do you think it works? Another solution?

RE: Copressor will affect equilibrium

You couldn't throttle the compressor suction to maintain the 0.3barg pressure?
