Hi,

I have a problem when I want to execute xtop.exe from C:\Programs\proeWildfire\i486_nt\obj\xtop.exe, I get an errror mesage.Something like "the instruction 0x0070b556" points in the Memory at 0x00000000. "read" cannot br executed in the Memory. Click OK to terminat or CLOSE to debug".
Any idea how to fix that?
Thanks in advance.

RE: xtop.exe

There are a lot of environment variables that xtop uses that are not set if you launch Pro/E directly.

Use one of the .bat files in <loadpoint>\bin.

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

Thanks Ben, for the information. But my task it's little bit complicated, I want to kill the process started by proengineer with a python script. And running proe2001.bat or some .exe files tells me that I have a termination error:permision denied. The script works good with CATIA(by running cnext) or Unigraphics(by running ugraf.exe) but not with Proe.
