690V 50Hz
690V 50Hz
(OP)
I am looking at a project in Mongolia where the voltages appear to go from 230V 1 ph, 380 3 ph then to 690V 3 ph with distribution at 10.5kV Of interest 690 V for >200 kW.
690 V appears to be 400xroot3 indicating a 400V motor winding in star rather than delta.
Is 690 V a common Non US voltage? IEC perhaps?
International drive manufacturers appear to list it as do foreign motor manufacturers.
Any comments

The former 500 V system is not used much any more. The 690 V systems have been around for more then ten years and seem to replace the earlier 500 V IT systems.
