ENGINEERING CONTRACT
ENGINEERING CONTRACT
(OP)
In the Engineering Times, NSPE August/September 2005, P. 23.
“The Engineer’s Need for a Written Contract”
An excellent article. I never would work without a contract, and seldom had a contractural problem.

RE: ENGINEERING CONTRACT
Unfortunately, in that industry, contracts didn't mean much.
Net 30 turned into Net 90. Customers expected you to absorb ECN's.
Problem was, the plastic mold business is pretty tight-nit, and if you really went after them, you'd get marked as "hard to work with" or something. You'd never get any more work from them, and the rumor mill would get going pretty quick.
So we just ussually "grinned and bared it.
