WELDING PROCEDURE

(OP)

HELLO

I WANT TO KNOW WHICH FILLER WIRE SHALL BE MOST SUITABLE FOR WELDING B/W...20Cr32Ni (conc reducer) & SB-407 N 8810 (pipe) .

SOME POSSIBLE MAY BE:

INCONEL 82
INCONEL 625
INCONEL 617

THANKING U PPL IN ADVANCE.

RE: WELDING PROCEDURE

The following web site contains information on the material properties, fabrication and joining of Incoloy 800 (UNS 8810) material. You can find the necessary information regarding recommended filler metal, which depends on the welding process.

RE: WELDING PROCEDURE

Any of those would make a sound weld. Typically 82 bare wire or 182 electrode is used to weld 800H to itself.

The type 617 wires or 117 electrodes are used if high creep strength is desirable in the weld.  82/182 welds will be weaker at temperature than the 800H base metal, but have excellent ductility.
