Excell Calculation Order

Excell Calculation Order

I Have a few spreadsheets that take several minutes to update.  While waiting for them to finish, I noticed that they populate from bottom to top.

Would the spreadsheet update faster if I made the dependant cells go from bottom to top instead of top to bottom?

Thanks SacreBleu.

I have not determined if it helps, but it does have some things to consider.

RE: Excell Calculation Order

That is a good link SacreBleu.  Looking around on that website I found this link in particular that talks about calculation order.

Recently, I've been experimenting with circular references and was wondering if there was an order to the cell calculations and what difference it might make on the calculations between the circular references.  Looks like it has a section discussing circular references that will be an interesting read.
