I am currently looking to design a steel stack and I need to use a tuned mass damper per ASME STS-1.  Does anybody know where I can purchase one?

thanks for your help

RE: Tuned Mass Dampers

This book has information on designing these systems, chapter 5, I believe. From this you can have a this fabricated.

thanks for the info.  Do you have this book? I am only looking for some general information right now.

Thanks again

RE: Tuned Mass Dampers

Warren Environmental provides tuned mass dampers (http://www.warrenenvironment.com/).

I have read a paper published by CICIND where Hamon Custodis (www.hamon.com) and Beaumont Chimney (http://www.beaumont-chimneys.co.uk/) were involved in a project that used a tuned mass damper on a stack.  However, I do not know if one of these companies supplied the damper or if it was purchased from another company.
