arcing on el glass

arcing on el glass

(OP)
Hi,
I've been having trouble with arcing happening on EL glass on the high voltage side where the tracks meet the flex cable heatseal. Has anyone else had this particular problem? Any possibly solutions to the problem?

RE: arcing on el glass

provide some more details on the problem. EL glass = ?
Is this arcing across the edge of a dielectric/air interface?

RE: arcing on el glass

The el glass has contacts that are chrome/nickel.  It is bonded with monostropic flex heat seal.  The arcing occurs between  the flex heatseal and the glass contacts. The bonding process has been refined many times and there is mechanical pressure to hold down the flex as well, but the contacts still seem to burn, causing the row to go on on the glass.
