Can someone help me with the question: Do solutions of phosphate acids in waste water systems contribute to mild steel corrosion. I use an Phosphate acid chemical in my powerwash system to spray clean mild steel components, or will there be an protective layer of phosphorus present to protect against corrosion.

Phosphate conversion coating providing mild resistance to corrosion are being applied to mild steel using specially formulated solutions.
