IDEAS Memory managment, Display problem

I have always a problem with my Ideas 8 version. If I create on a big model something new (e.g new surface), sometimes the program during the regenerating of the screen makes lines and you can see nothing. Sometimes I can not delete anything and I got only an error messages or the program automatically shuts down. Sometimes I can load the file, but after the first picking the program automatically shuting down. I(n this case sometimes it helps if I create e.g a universal file. ) Is it a memory program or what else? Can somebody tell me what is the correct meaning of the memory managment options? Has anybody else the same problem?

RE: IDEAS Memory managment, Display problem

It seems that you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system on your workstation. I had similar problems like you and decided to downgrade my OS to WinNT SP6.0. Now I have no trouble with disapperaing model or DRWatson error mesages etc. I suggest you to take your original model filesi ina a sfe place , format your harddisk and load a brand new one OS software.

See you again
