Exploded views trouble

Exploded views trouble

Exploded views trouble

(OP)
Hello,

I am working on an exploded view and everything was fine.
Next time I ran the animated explode, all the components were just "blocks" with no detail. I don't think I changed a setting - any suggestions?

Thanks

RE: Exploded views trouble

Kathy,

Check your large assembly mode settings under options > system.  Also, check out this link thread559-117984

One other item is your video card, & driver on the certified SWx list.  It would also help other in the future if you could put your system description in you signature..

RE: Exploded views trouble

If you are using SW 2005, I think the option you want to change is Tools > options > System Options > Performance > Level of Detail.

RE: Exploded views trouble

Do they remain as blocks after the motion has completed?  If so, I'd suspect your graphics card.  If not, I'd suspect your setting above.

If you don't already know about the graphics cards, check the SolidWorks web site for compatible cards and whether they passed, passed with coments or cautionary notes, or failed.  Your exploded view may be over-running your card's capacity to display the objects in your screen correctly.
