I a trying to install a copy of Sldwrks 2004 Office pro on a computer running windows2000 SP4 pentium3 computer. Right at the beginning of the install a window pops up saying:
"Unable to find an appropriate resource DLL." It keeps popping up and I cannot install. Any ideas? Thanks.

This is often related to the VB DLLs & is usually caused by NOT disabling the AntiVirus while doing the SW install.

I have Avast virus protection which I turned off- same problem. I can't even repair or modify the installation because I cannot get past the first few screens- the same message pops up. It's hopeless!

You may be missing some necessary TLB or DLL files that the installer needs.  This thread has an example:
