How can I "see" something that's suppressed
How can I "see" something that's suppressed
(OP)
As you roll over features in the feature tree on the left side of the screen, the feature or part gets a red box around it in the model.
If the item is supressed, you don't get the red box letting you know which one you are rolling over.
Is there any way to still get some sort of indication of where/what something is when it's supressed?
Sometimes I wind up with a few items supressed and I want to turn a specific feature or part on. It's hard to pick it from the feature manager when you can't see what it might look like or where it is.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe I should just start using HIDE instead. I hope to save crunching capability by supressing though.
Your answer makes sense now that I think about it.

Also, if there are absorbed sketches, these can sometimes be unsuppressed without unsuppressing the feature.

one of them is "Hidden_Parts_Helper.swp" and the other is "Suppressed_Parts_Helper.swp"
What they do is give a preview image of the selected component. Probably not exactly what you want, because you still have to run the macro first (but you can link that to a key if you want), but it can be helpful.

I have to turn it on each time I open a new assembly. The description really helps me out. Thanks for the tip.

I think if you turn it on in your template and save it, it should appear on all newly created items. The existing assys, created with the original template will have to be turned on individually.
