(OP)
Has anybody had any experience, good or bad, with Maxim (Dallas Semicond.) based temperature/pressure measurement devices?  I'm interested in the "1-wire" networking abilities of the DS2760 temperature measurement capabilities and was wanting to find out about the same "daisey-chaining" to pressure measurement.  Is this a viable alternative for making a "portable" system, as opposed to setting up Rosemounts and such?

Thanks,

Curtis

RE: Maxim 1-Wire

It works quite well in "protected environments". I have used it successfully as an escort tag in conveyor system for garments. But I think that an AS-I system or something similar is what you should use today.
