petroleum product blending

(OP)
Hi guys,

I need some kind assistance here regarding any literature or website that contains information regarding petroleum product blending process scheme which produces black product and white product, i.e fuel oil from black product and MOGAS RON 92, RON 97 from white product. Or if you guys have any experiences designing this plant and would like to share some brief processing scheme are highly appreciated.

TQ,
REiszal

RE: petroleum product blending

I may be retarded, but... what is "black product" and "white product"? Or is that part of your question?

RE: petroleum product blending

Well, I was sitting back waiting to see what sort of answers came in but I will stick my neck out here and would guess at black product being those products derived from the residues while white products are produced from the distillation products
e.g. petrol, diesel avaition fuels etc which are produced by blending from the distillation products are white.
The residues from the various refining processes are collected together and turned into fuel oils by blending some low value distillate back in or converted to apshalts or bitumens. i.e. the black products.
