RE: How to patern ?

What type of hole are you trying to pattern?  What type of pattern are you trying to do?  There should be no problem with a simple linear or circular pattern.  Cannot say I have ever used any other types for awhile.

roscho ... How Can I Show An Image In A Post  FAQ559-1100

Work through the SolidWorks Help > Online tutorial > Pattern Features. It explains, step by step, how to create a patterned hole on a cylindrical surface.

RE: How to patern ?

Is the hole on a plane or on the face of cylinder?
Is it a Hole wizard hole or a sketched hole?
What are your steps in producing a pattern?

thanks for showing picture here is link:

I hope it will work!

As I can see is quite lot interests for my question!

I want to put fastener in two lines in assembly.
On picture you can see cylindrical plate green one and another
steel plate white one. The green one has radius 7 meters.
Another thing is that between this two steel plates is rubber which has 3mm thickness. This rubber has smaller hole then steel plates. This is not so important!
Perhaps I will post another pictures of my model.
I used hole wizard with all parameters of positioning, hole properties ...
I think that It have to work with linear pattern. But when program asks you for direction it accept just straight lines not lines with radius.

I hope that you understand me!!
Thanks for all your replies!

RE: How to patern ?

Roscho, did you work out the tutorial that CorBlimeyLimey pointed out?  What are you trying to do that is not shown in the tutorial?

RE: How to patern ?

You'll want to use a Circular pattern or curve driven pattern.

RE: How to patern ?

When working with cylindrical bodies, for a linear pattern when you have no straight edges, you have to select the dimension locating the hole in the direction you want to go.  I looked at you picture but still do not understand where the hole is (too late at night, my eyes are tired).
