HELP
I'm using ProE 2001
How do I PERMANENTLY modify the thread note call-out.
Currently it call out thread tap size first then drill size.  I perform SETUP / NOTE / MODIFY one by one every time.  I want to revise it permanently.
Also is there away to add in more Standard Hole notes
For exaple NPT tap hole and hole larger than 1-1/2-6UNC
THANKS

RE: Thread call-out note

Under the Pro/E loadpoint there is a text/hole directory which has the .hol files. You can modify these to get the note to say waht you want. There is a PTC TPI on their website that explains the context of the .hol files.
You can also move the customized files out of the default location with a config.pro setting.

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

RE: Thread call-out note

Max,

You can specify the thread note format parameters in the hole table files under the CALLOUT_FORMAT.  You can customize the note format to fit your needs.  I believe there is an *.htm file on your C: drive that relates to this topic.  I've listed the link below.

C:\Program Files\proe2001\html\usascii\proe\part\thread_n.htm

Here is an excerpt that describes the formatting:

The thread note is a combination of the values listed in the hole chart for that hole. Use the following principles to construct a thread note:

Each parameter is preceded by an ampersand (&).
A space should always follow a parameter name.
Note: An onscreen space that follows a parameter value should have two spaces in the formatting.
Indicate line breaks with a slash (/).
Use control characters (for example, <CTRL-a>) to get an extended ASCII character.
If the hole is a member of a pattern, use the Pattern_No parameter in the thread note to indicate the number of pattern holes in the pattern.

An example of text in the CALLOUT_FORMAT field of the hole chart:

&Screw_size &Thread_Series - &Thread_Class TAP <CTRL-a>x<CTRL-b> &Thread_depth / &Number_Size DRILL (&Diameter ) <CTRL-a>x<CTRL-b> &Drill_Depth -- (&Pattern_No ) HOLE
