Vibration Testing
Vibration Testing
(OP)
Has anyone temporarily installed equipmnet in an aircraft for vibration testing. I need to test the vibration a piece of equipment is subjected to inside the radome comopartment. I am looking for a list of test equipment (ie. 2 single axis accelerometers, one tri-axis accelerometer , power supplies, signal conditioners, and data logger) for a temporary installation. Battery operated devices are the optimum solution, but I can tap into the aircraft power if necessary.

with a deep-cycle car battery. I believe this will even handle the excitation for your accels, etc. so the requirement for a power supply goes away.
But it all depends on how long the test will be. Make sure the battery will last as I'm sure the landing is a large component of the test.

You could look at some of the people that do MIL-STD-810 tests for some information about the equipment they use, since most of that should be directly applicable for your application.
