Installing local copy of SQL server 2000

(OP)
Hi everyone,

Are there a instructions somewhere on the net on how to install a local sql server on a client PC.

I need it for testing, so I don't mess up the live stuff, lol

But I have all sorts of problems like access denied, server does not exist, server not running. Any simple walk through out there ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

RE: Installing local copy of SQL server 2000

you cant run enterprise edition on anything but a server. if you try to load it on a workstation, it errors out. you need to try to find a personal edition version of the server to load, that way you can do your testing. but you cant use that in a plant environment, its for personal use and learning only.
