Hey Guys,

I have a mech. shop room to ventilate.  The type of equipment are as follows..

5'x5' Bridgeport
6'X14' Hansvedt Sinker
8'X8' Agie Mondo
5'X4' Grinder

I'm going to design the system with a 1,500 fpm air velocity with blastgates on each branch connection below the ceiling, my question is how much CFM do these types of equipment usually need? I'm guessing somewhere between 100-200 cfm, any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

RE: Bridgeport/Lathe/Sinker Vent. Rates

A reference book called "Industrial Ventilation" published by an Industrial Hygienist organization is the best source of which I'm aware, but my brand new copy is at work and I'm not.  If your specific equipment is not listed, I'm certain you'll find something similar or learn the concepts and determine flow rates on your own.
