AutoCad 2000i Problem

AutoCad 2000i Problem

(OP)
This is the original post I put in another Forum.

O.K. I need some help in identifying a problem with a drawing file I received from a contract draftsman. I am still running AutoCad 2000i Lt (have ver 2004 but unwilling to make the jump during high work load) and keep gettin the following error when attempting to work with the drawing file.
FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0040 Exception at 6bfd1eh
Any ideas or fixes?

This is my follow up Post.

Well, guess more to it then originally thought. At first it was only the one drawing. Now any of the drawings on my drive are causing the fatal error shutdown ( Exception code varies some). Go figure. Right now I'm doing a system backup preparing for a crash. Going to reformat and reload the computer. Thanks for the response.

Back up and running this morning. Doesn't seem to have a problem now. Think Windows got anti-google with memory allocation for the video driver (at least the Autodesk help leads one to think so). All is happy in the office this morning (till something new pops up)
