How to make a part sketch visible in a drawing view?

How to make a part sketch visible in a drawing view?

How to make a part sketch visible in a drawing view?

(OP)
This should be pretty simple to fix, but I can't find the answer so far. I have an assembly that contains 3 parts. A lot of the detail that I need in a drawing is in imported sketches rather than geometry. How do I get one or more part sketches to be visible in a drawing view?

RE: How to make a part sketch visible in a drawing view?

In the context of the drawing, scroll through the feature tree until you find the sketch you want visible.  Right click on the sketch and show sketch.

Thanks, that worked. Is there any way to get the sketches to show up in the color they are set to in the part file?

RE: How to make a part sketch visible in a drawing view?

You can individually select sketch entities and change their color in the context of the drawing, but I don't think their is a global setting to allow them to be the color that they were in the part.

Try Tools/Options/Colors. It may be there.
