Incorrect weight in BoM

Incorrect weight in BoM

Incorrect weight in BoM

(OP)
I am opening up a drawing of a weldment, that has individual piece weights listed in the BoM, and the overall weight on the title block. Now, when I open the drawing on one computer, the weight in the BoM is wrong, but the title block overall weight is correct.

Here's the tricky part, if I open the same drawing on another machine, the weights update, and are shown correct.

I am hitting rebuild on the original computer, but the weights stay incorrect.

what am I missing on the original machine?

hey Scott,

thanks for the quick reply, but that didn't do the trick.

RE: Incorrect weight in BoM

What version and service pack of SolidWorks are you using.  There were some problems with the SW2005 before SP3.1 with weights.

hmmm, I know the computer that works correctly is SP4, and the other is at least 3.1, but would need to check.

RE: Incorrect weight in BoM

If it works in SP4 then you should have all your SP's up to the working SP. You should try not to run some people on one SP and the others running another. That will and could lead to strange things like this (Meaning something is fixed in one SP but broke in another).

Good call there Regg!
