Reliance motor with bolted socket on the connection end
(OP)
I'm having a REliance motor(AC, 315KW, TEWC, MINE motor).
on the connection end, there's a bolted socket (Victor produts,type:30SR/A).
Anybody could please tell what this used for with details, thanks.

The website is not directly helpful, but it appears that if you're using electricity in a coal mine, you'll be dealing with these guys.

The more general answer is that where there's a plug and socket connector at a unit interface, you don't need a union electrician to replace the unit.
