AutoCAD 2006 - Plot Styles?

AutoCAD 2006 - Plot Styles?

AutoCAD 2006 - Plot Styles?

(OP)
A surveyor was down and had AutoCAD 2006 on his machine. He was trying to plot on our plotter, but he didn't have ANY color dependent plot styles. My group made some really nice plot styles.

Yesterday IT was asking the group if we wanted AutoCAD 2006, but I was hesitant due to the lack of plot styles to choose.

Does AutoCAD 2006 have the option to select color dependent plot styles? I couldn't even find an option in the plot window to select one.

How different is AutoCAD 2006 from 2004?

RE: AutoCAD 2006 - Plot Styles?

2006 has color dependant plot styles.  2006 differs from 2004 largely in the user interface, dynamic blocks and methods of customization.

He must not have the proper driver installed then??? I'm not sure. Thanks for the info.

RE: AutoCAD 2006 - Plot Styles?

The plot styles are created when AutoVAD is installed.  Perhaps he installed AutoCAD and used a different customization file that refers to other paths for the plot styles????

That wouldn't surprise me. IT here doesn't really know how to map the drive for using AutoCAD. We have a ghost image and many hidden folders since it's a company & government issued computer. They have it setup like this so that we cannot just take the AutoCAD CD and install it on our personal computers and so they can monitor everything. Things go in strange folders. It took me a day just to assign 2004 the proper search paths for everything.

IT thinks it should rule the world.
Woe is us!!
