W Block Command?

W Block Command?

W Block Command?

(OP)
I am running CAD 2000.  I have a base drawing from a previous project that includes the site survey and other features in Model Space.  I want to retain all of the base information and replace what is in Model space with new information for another project.  The new information will become the new Model space (surevey data)

It was suggested to me to use the W Block command to avoid the drawing crashing.  Can someone provide me the steps I need to take to accomplish this?

RE: W Block Command?

WBlock creates a new dwg file on disk with the objects you select.  Then you can open up that new drawing and continue.  Type WBlock and folloow the prompts.  You will specify a file name, objects, maybe a base point, etc.
