Basic Metric Tooth

Basic Metric Tooth

(OP)
I have very basic question for you guys.  I am creating a internal metric gear with a Diametral Pitch of 19, number of teeth is 16, and Pressure angle of 37.5. I have all the numbers crunched I just don't have any direction of how to draw the profile of the teeth.  I can't figure out the flank and face radius that I need to use, or where I need to start with the actual drawing of the tooth.  Any help would be extremly appreciated.

Thanks.

RE: Basic Metric Tooth

Draw the mirror image of an external gear
but reverse the addendum and dedendums
and use the tooth space for the tooth thickness.
Draw the involute starting at the base diameter
to the major diameter and trim it at the minor
diameter ie the inside diameter.

I'm kind of confused, I'm not sure where to start with drawing it.  I have put in my root dia., pitch circle, base dia., and outside dia.  But I'm not sure on how to put the flank and face radii on the tooth by using the base and pitch circles.

RE: Basic Metric Tooth

So you are trying to draw a 3d gear?
