DataCad to AutoCad Conversion

DataCad to AutoCad Conversion

DataCad to AutoCad Conversion

(OP)
Has anyone taken a drawing done with DataCad (software used by my contract draftsman) and converted it to AutoCad (software I use)? Seem to be having dificult time with random color changes, text heights, etc. A clean conversion is probably not possible but it has to be better than what I'm getting now. Release numbers probably not important but they're; DataCad 10 & AutoCad 2000i LT

RE: DataCad to AutoCad Conversion

I have never heard of DataCad. Usually you need to look at the DXF output map settings.

RE: DataCad to AutoCad Conversion

My own experience is that IGES is about the only format that most programs can even do half-way reliably.
