Color/Line Format Settings

Can anyone help me find some of the settings for colors?  I know that you go to Preferences->Visualizations, but I don't know from there.  For example, I am looking to change the color of a reference line in a sketch from gray to yellow.  Or the color that dimensions are displayed in sketcher.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

RE: Color/Line Format Settings

Depends on which version of UG you're running.  If NX2 or higher, set your selection filter to General Objects, select the line then right click (MB3) while hovering over the object & select Edit Object Display from the pulldown.

I am using NX2. I have tried that, but it doesn't change the reference line color. I am able to change the line font and width without a problem and it actually changes the line.  Do I need to put it on a different layer?

RE: Color/Line Format Settings

Sorry, I didn't read your original post thoroughly.  My initial reply will work on objects that are NOT members of a sketch.

Sketch curves are a totally different animal & I do not believe you can change their color on the fly, as you were trying to do.  If you open your ug_metric.def or ug_english.def file, you'll find all of your sketcher default settings & there you will find the setting for reference curve color.

I believe that you will have to close & restart UG for this setting to take effect.  Worst case scenario is that it will only take effect on newly created parts.

Hope this helps.
