construction costs

Looking for a general rule-of-thumb to produce very generic costs for supply/ install 30" CS water line. These numbers will be introduced into conversations as comparative values only (new vs. repair). Typial run lengths approx. 5000 FT.

RE: construction costs

bleps,

It may vary depending on installation method. The RS Means books should be able to help you out.

I'm sure RS Means can provide the data (and more). We're really just looking for some planning values (i.e. $150 - $200/ LF?)

RE: construction costs

Well call the local supply house for the cost per foot. 8 feet deep with 1:1.5 v:h, excavation will be 5 cu. yds per linear ft.Installation 2hours per pipe segment. Figure it out. Don't lowball the client.

RE: construction costs

Try www.get-a-quote.net I find this web-site to be pretty acurate for estimating construction cost.
