(OP)
For almost a year, I've been in a biomedical engineering graduate program doing research on fMRI. Recently, I decided to leave my advisor and search for different research. Imaging research is not as interesting or exciting as I imagined it would be.

What is the best way to learn about as many possible biomedical careers as possible? I'd like to continue through with my M.S., but on a project that truly interests me. Bioinstrumentation has always been exciting, and I've been searching for options in non-imaging signal processing. I also realized that money was a big motivator getting me to grad school. Has anyone else gone through a similar experience? I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.
