Incinerator noise

(OP)
Hi,

I have been asked to investigate noise control methods for waste incinerator stacks. As this is not my field of speciality can anybody give me some ideas or know of any existing solutions to get me started.

Thanks

Cctdiag.

RE: Incinerator noise

You might want to leave this forum behind and go to the Mechanical Acoustics/Vibration engineering Forum forum384.

Common noise control techniques include mufflers, enclosures, barriers, and sound absorption as well as different equipment, for reducing noise levels.

RE: Incinerator noise

You will need to investigate  the use of "reactive silencers" for this application. Its some years since I was involved and unfortunately dont have the contacts any longer.
