3600 rpm or 1800 rpm in series??
3600 rpm or 1800 rpm in series??
(OP)
Many people have a strong preference of 1800 rpm other than 3600 rpm pumps. In many cases, with the combination of flow and head (relatively low flow and high head), 3600 rpm are often proposed by the bidders. For alternative, two 1800 rpm in series can replace an 3600 rpm pump for the same application, or occasionally, a larger 1800 rpm can do the same thing but the operating point is close to the minimum flow (dead head).
Can you cite the advantages and disadvantages of 3600rpm pumps? Specifically, I like to hear the applications from the site and if anyone saw a major problem for the 3600 rpm pumps.

My experience is 2-poles have a lot more maintenance headaches.
