(OP)
What ventilation system design software would you recommend?
I am looking for software which is capable of creating a diagram of your ducting system etc and which is capable of handling various branch systems (something like a ventilation network analyser equivalent to a water network analysing software).

RE: ventilation design software

i dont know a certain ventilation system design software  but u can calculate the zone volume and then multiply it by a certain no of air change / hr depending on the application
then u calculate the duct size by a ductlator .

RE: ventilation design software

Walkes,
Funny u mentioned the ASHRAE DFD. I have been using the ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database the past month to do pressure loss analysis for many complicated type 1 grease duct system. I must say, it has saved me alot of headaches and securing city approval was easy due to the fact it was created by ASHRAE. I recommend it to all that is doing any duct pressure loss analysis.

RE: ventilation design software

A wide variety of HVAC/R software is available from TechniSolve Software.
