Drawing table

Drawing table

Drawing table

(OP)
Hello Everyone:

Does anyone know if there is a way of getting the data from a drawing table in catia to be saved as a CSV format.

Thanks

RE: Drawing table

I don't think you can save a CATIA table as a csv.

I'm told you can convert a csv into a CATIA table, but it's made with no link.

But, if you create an Excel spreadsheet first, you can copy & paste it to a CATdrawing. And you can double-click on the table to re-open the spreadsheet and edit it.

Thanks Jackk

I need to go the other way, catia table to CSV.  I guess I'm out of luck.

RE: Drawing table

Why don't you create a script ?

we do have some script to go CATIA Drawing Table <=> Excel

very usefull as editing is much more ...easy in XL.

Hello "itsmyjob"

Thanks for the suggestions but I dont have any experience creating scripts.  One more thing that I still need to learn!

RE: Drawing table

Hy itsmyjob,

Do you know of any available script for transferring BOM from CATProduct to Excel. My company has an specific ISO formatted .xls documents with designated location for information like: quantity, part number, nomenclature and material. I'm not a catia script guru but I know this should be possible to achieve through scripting.

You can find plenty of info in forums / online doc.

you can even ask in forum for some help to correct (not create) your code, we will help you.

RE: Drawing table

Hi,

Or you can use another software which can capture text from screen (for example SnagIt or something similar).

Fernando
