Sewer and Water Projects-Civil Engineering
Sewer and Water Projects-Civil Engineering
(OP)
I am new to the cost engineering field. I am working in a joint venture contract where most of our projects are sewer and water related improvement projects. Some as small as $50,000 to $100,000 and others as big as double figure millions.
Currently, have a project dealing with sewer pipe replacement using pipe bursting.
Are the tools recently described in previous posts applicable for my projects?
If not, can anyone point me in a more appropriate directions?
thanks

RE: Sewer and Water Projects-Civil Engineering
Cause Cleopatra is using Unit rates you perfectly can use the software.
It is an open system that is designed for mulitdiciplinairy use. So you can use differend databases to built up your estimates.
Have a look at www.costengineering.nl or www.cec-ces.nl
I hope i helped you.

RE: Sewer and Water Projects-Civil Engineering
if i could add on to my first question:
we are now looking at a project that will replace 8" sewer pipe with 12" HDPE using pipe bursting technology.
i am putting together a cost estimate for the whole job and wanted to get together various bid tabs on similar projects.
basically, costs on actual pipe bursting per linear foot, curb rehabilitation per LF or SF, re-seeding/sod per SF, asphalt work per SF, service connections, etc...
would appreciate any help.
sincerely,
