FEMAP or HYPERWORK

(OP)
Hi,

I am using FEMAP9.0 and find it faces little problem with ABAQUS6.5 i.e. no real-time monitor, lack of compatibility for some advanced commands etc. I would like to ask which Pre- Post- software between FEMAP and HYPERWORK some of you have chosen for ABAQUS 6.5.

Thanks

RE: FEMAP or HYPERWORK

Even Abaqus CAE doesn't feature all of the advanced commands of Abaqus and some manual editing of the input file is still necessary. For monitoring of a job you can simply open up the .msg file or .sta file if you just want to see overall progress.

Thanks for your share. I wonder which Pre- Post- software you choose for routine analysis job.

Cheers,

RE: FEMAP or HYPERWORK

I use CAE but others here use Patran. You stick to the one you know I guess. For monitoring the job I use my own software to open up one of the output files and 'ping' me when the file has changed. Keeps me awake.
