AutoCAD 2006 not refreshing properly?

AutoCAD 2006 not refreshing properly?

AutoCAD 2006 not refreshing properly?

(OP)
Hello.

Just recently when I draw and trim lines or anything really, the lines stay dashed even if they are not selected.  The only way to fix them is to use the refresh command.

This is getting really annoying condsidering 2006 used the dashed lines when u put your cursor of something without selecting it and it makes it hard to see if I selected it or not without doing a refresh command everytime I use a command.

Settings:
I have DYN set to off:
Regen with Switching Layous selected.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You can turn off AUTOCAD 2006's highlighting mode
by going to TOOLS...OPTIONS...SELECTION
and click on the VISUAL EFFECTS button.
You can also customize how and what is highlighted.

This is a regen problem I'm sure.  The settings are fine in the Visual Effects, it hasn't changed.

I looked for a regen auto command and came up with nothing.

???

Anyone?

Sounds to me like a video driver - have you updated recently?  Also, make sure you are working in 2D wireframe, not any other rendering mode.  For help with regen, have you tried Help?
