harmonics minimisation

harmonics minimisation

harmonics minimisation

(OP)
we have 02 nos 11.67mva rectifier transformer with delta/star-delta winding with dc output of 380v, 11.0ka.

we have in our power system presence of 5th,11th & 13th harmonic because of the rectifiers.

can the harmonic contents in the power system get reduced in case we change the phase sequence of incomming supply in any one of the rectifier transformer.

RE: harmonics minimisation

Changing the phase sequence to one of the transformers won't help cancel harmonics.  The transformer arrangement you describe is already designed to cancel most of the 5th and 7th harmonic.  How much 5th harmonic are you seeing?  Are you having specific harmonic-related problems that require further mitigation of the 5th and mitigation of the 11th and 13th?
