Random cosmetic thread show/hide generator

Random cosmetic thread show/hide generator

Random cosmetic thread show/hide generator

Hi everyone,

Has anyone managed to find a way to disable this 'feature' in drawings.
By this I mean set things up so thread annotations don't show up on the non-visible surfaces of drawing wiews. It's a real drag going through every drawing and hiding the ones that do happen to show up that shouldn't have.

Cheers in advance.

No, I can't find it either. It just happens and is very frustrating. By random hide/show generator, I was referring to the lack of control I have over weather cosmetic thread show or don't show on drawing views.

Apparantly this has been a problem for years and people (my colleagues) just put up with it and hide thread annotations that shouldn't be showing. I can't accept that as being good enough.

I didn't mean there actually was a deliberate function to do this.

RE: Random cosmetic thread show/hide generator

One situation that I do know of a (manual) fix for is this:

If you do your Hole Wizard and put a few holes in. Then decide later to add more holes by just editing the sketch and adding points...you won't get a Cosmetic Thread until you select the Feaure and do an Edit Feature and click OK to each of the dialog boxes.
