ANSI Flange Question

ANSI Flange Question

ANSI Flange Question

(OP)
Dear All,

Am sure this is a simple question, but I do not work with ANSI equipment very often,  I have a specification that is written Class300 B16.5RF 250 - 500 AARH.  Can someone please tell me what the AARH stands for?

Thanks

The flange spec Class 300 B16.5RF 250-500 AARH is telling you 300# flange class,  Raised face with the spirals on the face having a finish of 250-500 AARH   Here is a link to some pictures showing the different finishes.  http://www.mackiron.com/images/Capabilities/finishes.htm
