Library part...bolts changing size

Library part...bolts changing size

Library part...bolts changing size

This sounds sort of similar to another thread. I'm not using PDM or anything.

It's happened a couple of times now when I open an assy that I've been working on, say 1/4" dia. fasteners all of a sudden load as 3/4" dia. (not those sizes specifically...just using this as an example). It just happens out of the blue. It's a little irritating!

Sound familiar?

This has happend with SP3.0, SP3.1, and SP4.0.

RE: Library part...bolts changing size

Yes sounds like you need to switch to a multi-enviroment for your TB. See SW guide to multi-user enviroment of TB.

If you make an assembly and place fasteners in it. Then your Colleague opens up your file, it can't find the bolts you added to the assembly, so it pulls the default config from his TB and he sees big bolts.

RE: Library part...bolts changing size

check in the assembly properties to see if the fastener is set to last saved configuration

SB: I think that's it..... because it happened when the one other user opened the assy.

I'll have to try that tomorrow at work....
